Practicing Mind Over
If you've decided that
you want and need to take charge of your anger, you are already motivated. Combine your motivation with skills you can practice
and you're on your way to the positive changes that you want and that the people who care about you want. Many are surprised
that in just a few sessions they and others can see and appreciate the difference this work brings.
primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, is brief and effective. I work with my clients toward an awareness of their
strengths and wisdom, then we discover what actions and changes can be started toward the very important goal of leading
an emotionally healthier life.
Along with Anger, other of my interests include Post-Traumatic
Stress, Depression, Anxiety, and challenges of vision loss. All of these struggles involve relationship problems,
so that is most often also included in the work we do. My clients are people of all ages and personality types and I'm happy
about that because I know that diversity enriches our existence.
Currently I am also seeing military people who
prefer to use my discounted fee rather than their insurance. This lower rate is available to military or veterans and
allows for complete confidentiality and freedom to meet once weekly or more often, if needed.

Texas Licensed Professional Counselor
I have been practicing psychotherapy since 2001,
seeing individuals, families, and couples who are in therapy for various reasons. Many are struggling with
anger and/or depression and the resultant damage to their self-regard and to their relationships.
my private practice in 2004, I worked as a therapist at a counseling center that specializes in families with at-risk children
and adolescents. While I was there I met and worked with hundreds of wonderful kids and their families.
I have presented on the subjects of: Anger Therapy; Learning Disabilities; on Brief
Solution-Focused Therapy; and on Counseling Ethics.
I am increasingly appreciative of San Antonio's diverse community. Clients I work with cover a wide
range demographically, but all share the amazing human capacity for growth, creativity, and healthy change.
